Why Women Choose Aila Swim
I created Aila Swim because I couldn’t find swimwear that felt right.
It took me 2 years of researching, developing, dragging my husband through every store in shopping centres to see what swimwear was available on the market to help me validate my idea.
Every summer would come around and I would listen to family and friends complain about not being able to find something "covered" we just wanted that little bit more coverage.
Everything on the market was either too high cut, completely backless, too much cleavage, not enough coverage in the crotch area, too cheeky in the back, too sporty, completely shapeless the list goes on and on.
There were some options out there with coverage but not the right type of coverage and those types of swimwear were always targeting mums trying to cover their beautiful bellies.
What about us in between girlies?
Why is it so hard to find bikini bottoms that aren't high waisted, not cheeky and with adjustable ties?
I wanted to create pieces that felt flattering, gave the right type of coverage and was keeping up with trending colours. Swimwear that you could wear around family, in laws, girlfriends, on your honeymoon, even with your grandparents swimwear that worked in real life.
